Individual Task 4.

Answer the following questions on your blog:

1.) Give a brief description of who the Dalai Lama is? (Include resources to support)

2.) Evaluate how the actions of the Dalai Lama in regard to the riots in Tibet would be regarded as exemplary moral integrity.

Dalai Lama is the title given to an individual who is the spiritual leader of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. This person is believed to be the current incarnation of a long line of Tulkus, or Buddhist Masters, who have become so enlightened as to be exempt from the wheel of death and rebirth. These ascended masters have chosen of their own free will to be reborn to this plane in order to teach humanity. A Lama (meaning “Teacher“) is a title given to many different ranks of Tibetan Buddhist clergy.

2.Because he having a high position inthat particular community he influenced others to do the right thing.

Journal Entrty 11.

1.) Describe the term ‘interactive TV’.
2.) Explain the reasons why interactive TV is now called TV 2.0.
3.) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV.
4.) Apple released recently Apple TV – Take 2. Describe the reasons why it needed to be changed.

1.Interactive television represents a continuum from low interactivity (TV on/off, volume, changing channels) to moderate interactivity (simple movies on demand without player controls) and high interactivity in which, for example, an audience member affects the program being watched. The most obvious example of this would be any kind of real-time voting on the screen, in which audience votes create decisions that are reflected in how the show continues.

2. Because it is the second generation of television. Firt people used to just look at tv and sit on tjhe couch all day but now they have to use thier brain a little bit.

3. The cousch potartoes like me wont buy it. non e will buy it they will stick to the original tv

2.) Discuss how of media such as news, acollaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries dvertising ect.

1. The purpose of youtube  advertising is because there are millions of people that use youtube every day and they have more chances of people seeing it on youtube than anywhere else.

2. they have shanged a lot because now big brands are advertising on these kinds of sites and paying millions of dollars.

Individual Task 3 – Ethical Principals

1. Define the term moral integrity

2.) Describe why Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity.

3.) Outline Maximillians ethical actions/principles that he demonstrated in Auschwitz.

4.) Evaluate whether you think he made the right decision and provide research to support your answer. i.e. Catholic teachings.

1. Moral Integrity is how some one thinks and is what tells people to make disitons right on wrong

2. The reason why Maximillion Kolbe is regarded as a Christian that has lots of values and Moral Integrity, He also was a very religious person he spread the word of god till his last breath. what made him even more great is that he offered to give his life for another person.

3. The things that he did were when a man escaped the prison they choose 10 men to be starved to death so that there will be no more escape attempts. One man was married so Maximillion Kolbe gave his life to spare his. When they were locked up and starved to death Maximillion Led every one in prayer.

4. Yes i think he made the right desicion because i think that not many people would have done that. there is an example of that a famous runner abebe, he was also forced to kill a person which he refused to do and got tortured even though he was a international olmpic gold medalist.

2.) How has digital media evolved over the last 5-10 years?
3.) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular?

1.Digital media (as opposed to analog media) usually refers to electronic media that work on digital codes. Today, computing is primarily based on the binary numeral system. In this case digital refers to the discrete states of “0” and “1” for representing arbitrary data. …

2.It has evolved a lot in the last 5 10 years it has new technology has come out like ipods, pda, slimmer and better mobile phones, better games, softwares, cameras, and stuff like that.

3.Because they don’t waste paper they are environmentally friendly and you don’t have to look for what you want to read it is just a click away.

Journal Entry 8.           

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

Scenario 1: If i was in that train at that time when the eledrly ethical person was getting rolled by a gruop of youths. I would have called the station security and if there were none then i woul have got off the train too.

 Scenario 2: Even if the girl i liked pursuaded me to do something wrong then i would never do it. Even if she dumpes me.

Journal 7.

There are always two side two everything. Like in the donald duck the good concince is represented by the angel and te ad one with a devil. The good one always tells you to do thw right thing but the bad ide is alays more tempting and easy. it is never easy to do the right thing. the relationship between reliegion and concince are that both o them tell u o do the right thing.
